What is DSIP?
DSIP stands for delta sleep-inducing peptide, a nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in 1977. How do I reconstitute DSIP 10mg?
Add 1mL of bacteriostatic water for a 10mg/mL solution, matching our catalogue standard of 1mL per 10mg. Introduce the solvent against the glass wall rather than onto the powder, then swirl slowly until clear. Do not shake the vial; foaming shears peptide and makes accurate withdrawal harder.
How should DSIP be stored?
Sealed lyophilized vials at -20C, dark and dry. Freeze-dried material tolerates ambient shipping temperatures without degradation. After reconstitution, keep it refrigerated at 2 to 8C and use within a few weeks. DSIP does not hold up especially well in solution, so aliquoting is worth the extra minute if the protocol runs long.
