Which five questions are worth asking of any supplier?

The rubric gets written before either name is examined, because criteria drawn up afterward drift toward whichever site you already preferred without anyone noticing it happen.

Provenance is row one. Does the company state that it makes the peptide, or does it describe getting finished material from somewhere else? Read the verbs on the about page instead of the adjectives on the homepage. Production language sounds like “we synthesize” and “our facility”; distribution language sounds like “we work with” and “sourced from”. Knowing which you’re dealing with tells you who can answer a hard question about a specific lot.

Second, is the laboratory named? Independent testing is claimed almost universally in this market and attributed almost never. A name is the thing that makes a claim checkable without the vendor’s cooperation, which is why it stays rare and why it deserves credit when a company publishes one.

Third, how much of the panel runs? HPLC purity measures the proportion of sample under the main peak. Mass spectrometry confirms identity through molecular mass. Endotoxin covers bacterial breakdown products and sterility covers viable growth. Reporting purity alone is a perfectly honest thing to do, so long as it doesn’t get dressed up as a complete analytical record.

Fourth, can a certificate be read before payment, and is it tied to a lot number that will appear on the vial? A certificate you can only see after buying answers a question you’ve already stopped being able to act on.

Fifth, do blends state milligrams per component? A blend described only by total weight can’t be reconstituted to a known concentration for any single compound in it. Company age stays off the list, since it says nothing measurable about a batch.

Naming the source is only fair, since a yardstick means more when whoever wrote it already submits to it, and anyone writing from inside a market should say where their criteria came from. That’s the whole of the connection, and everything below belongs to Pure Rawz and Certified-Pep.

What Pure Rawz publicly states

Pure Rawz runs purerawz.co, and it answers the first rubric row with a disclosure most companies in this market would rather not print.

The about page describes “an independent online resource created to make information about peptides, supplements, nootropics, research compounds, and other emerging products easier to understand”, then states “Purerawz does not sell products directly”, followed by “We do not manufacture, stock, package, ship, or fulfill orders for the products discussed on this website.” It states outright that “Purerawz is an informational and affiliate website. Provenance therefore resolves by the company describing itself as outside the chain of custody. Manufacturing and testing questions pass through to whichever seller a link resolves to, which is a genuine answer even if it isn’t the answer the row was designed to produce.

Testing copy from an earlier version of the site remains visible in places. The homepage states “Third-party testing is performed by an outside lab” and “We go beyond in-house quality checks and verify each batch with rigorous testing for purity, potency, and consistency”, with per-product figures such as “99.9% Pure” and “99% Pure”. No laboratory was named on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, and mass spectrometry, bacterial endotoxin and sterility results were not listed. The legacy certificate index is still carried in search results but returned a 404 on the review date, and the peptide blends category returned a maintenance notice reading “We are doing some work on our site.” One legacy certificate PDF stayed reachable, carrying lot PRWZ-083 against a 2023 test date.

The concession goes to candour and to breadth of coverage. Stating in plain words that you don’t manufacture, stock, package, ship or fulfil is more useful to a reader than the soft “our facility” phrasing this market runs on, and it sets expectations correctly in a single sentence. The subject range it covers, across peptides, supplements, nootropics and other research compounds, is also wider than most single-vendor catalogs manage.

What Certified-Pep publicly states

Certified-PEP sells directly, and its testing disclosure is the strongest single element anywhere in this comparison.

On provenance, the homepage states that products are “Manufactured in a cGMP facility in Texas”. The operator of that facility was not named on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, so the site answers where and what kind without answering who.

On testing, the lab testing page goes further than most sites in this market ever do, and it names the laboratory: “Vanguard Laboratory, located in Olympia, Washington”, described as “ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited”. The homepage states material is “tested by an Iso/EiC accredited facility, registered with the department of ecology in Washington state” and cites “Purity standards of 99% or higher with US Labs.” The stated panel covers “endotoxin, heavy metals, purity, and sterility tests” including “USP <61> (Microbial Enumeration Tests) and USP <71> (Sterility Tests)”, and the company states it uses HPLC and “mass spectrometry to confirm identity and purity.” The about page states “Every batch includes third-party results you can read and verify” and describes “Cold-chain storage (-20 °C lab-grade freezers).”

That’s the concession, and it’s a substantial one. Naming a laboratory with a city and an accreditation standard, then listing specific USP chapters behind the sterility claim, is more than most companies here attempt. A reader can look up Vanguard Laboratory without asking Certified-PEP for permission, and that independence is the whole point of the second rubric row.

The catch sits on access. The certificate library returned a notice on the pass reviewed: “Due to regulatory changes in this industry, we now require an account login to access product information and continue browsing.” No certificates were visible without an account, so I couldn’t confirm whether they carry lot numbers, whether Vanguard’s name appears on the documents themselves, or how far back the archive runs. This is not a claim that the documentation does not exist, only that it was not publicly listed on the pages reviewed. The shop pages showed roughly 24 peptide listings across pagination, blends among them, with the per-component milligram split visible on some listings and absent on others.   • Where a site states it doesn’t sell or fulfil, follow one of its outbound purchase links and run this rubric against the company at the far end, because that’s who would owe you an answer about a bad lot.
