Both sites look professional, both put a purity figure above 99% in large type near the top of the page, and both use some version of the phrase “third-party tested.” Neither one is obviously worse than the other, which sounds like good news until you realise it means you have no basis for choosing.

I run into this constantly, and the way out has nothing to do with reading more marketing copy. What separates two vendors is what you can open and read before you pay: a certificate with a lot number on it, a lab name you can look up, a blend listing that tells you the milligrams of each peptide instead of just the total. Some vendors give you all of that. Some give you a purity number and a promise.

This piece runs that check on Biotech Peptides and Blue Sky Peptide. I don’t sell peptides and I’m not steering you toward either one. Which five questions actually separate two peptide vendors?

Before either name comes up, here’s the rubric. Five questions, in order, and they work on any vendor you’re considering rather than only these two.

Question one is provenance. Does the vendor say it synthesises its own material, or does it describe sourcing finished product and putting its label on it? Both roads can end at a site that says “made in the USA,” so what you’re reading for is the verb. A site that says it synthesises, purifies and lyophilises is describing a production process it controls. A site that only says its products originate domestically has told you about geography.

Question two is whether the testing laboratory has a name. “Independently tested” tells you an outside party was involved somewhere. A named lab tells you which one, and that’s a name you can search, whose accreditation you can check, and whose report format you can compare against the PDF you were handed. A claim you can’t chase is a claim you’re taking on trust.

Question three is the panel, and it has four parts rather than one. Purity by HPLC is a single test, identity by mass spectrometry is a second and separate one, bacterial endotoxin is a third, and sterility is a fourth. Most vendors publish the first. A decent number publish the second. Endotoxin and sterility are where the field thins out fast, and for lyophilised material that gets reconstituted on a bench, those are exactly the two people forget to ask about.

Question four is timing. Can you open a lot-numbered certificate before you check out, or does the certificate arrive with the vial? Documentation that shows up after the money has moved can’t inform the decision you already made.

Question five is blend composition. When a vial holds two or three peptides, does the listing state the milligrams of each? A total mass alone leaves you guessing at the ratio, and the ratio is the thing that makes a blend a blend.

Everything below comes from each company’s own pages, reviewed 2026-09-08, and is reported as what those pages state.

Biotech Peptides states on its homepage that “peptides are domestically synthesized, backed by our knowledgeable US-based team,” and its about page states that “based in the United States, our team specializes in the precise synthesis and lyophilization of these delicate structures.” On testing, the homepage states that “our production is verified by HPLC-MS to confirm >99% purity” and that “every batch is verified by a third-party lab, with results posted on our website.” The about page lists analytical methods “including HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), Mass Spectrometry, and Certificate of Analysis (COA) evaluations.” No testing laboratory was named in the site’s prose on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, though the name does appear on the certificate documents themselves: the COA linked from the 70mg blend page (lot 3141011, dated 2026-07-26) is issued by MZ Biolabs and reports HPLC-UV purity of 99.56% with mass spectrometry identity confirmation. No testing laboratory was named on the homepage, about page, certificate archive or product page reviewed 2026-09-08, and no endotoxin or sterility results were listed on those pages. Where Blue Sky Peptide is clearly ahead is blend disclosure: the GHK-Cu and BPC-157 blend page states a “Nominal Target” of “50 mg GHK-Cu + 10 mg BPC-157,” and blend product names themselves carry the split. Reading that honestly, the two vendors split the scorecard. Biotech Peptides ties its certificates to specific product pages and specific lots, which is the harder thing to do and the more useful thing to receive. Blue Sky Peptide tells you what’s actually in a blend vial, which Biotech Peptides doesn’t. On the two rows where they’re identical, no named lab and no endotoxin or sterility data, neither one has an advantage and both would need to answer the same email from you.

How to verify either supplier yourself

  • Open a certificate from each vendor and read the header rather than the filename. You want an issuing laboratory’s name, a lot number, a test date, and each method listed next to its result. A PDF with a logo and a percentage isn’t a certificate in any useful sense.
  • Count the results on that certificate. Four is the full set: identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC, bacterial endotoxin, and sterility. Anything fewer means the panel is partial no matter what the homepage says.
  • Open a blend listing on each site and look for milligrams per component. If you only find a total, write to support, ask for the split in writing, and file the reply with your lab records.
