Both quote 99% purity, both sound entirely reasonable, and neither page tells you the thing you actually want to know, which is what documentation you’ll be able to open for the specific vial that arrives at your bench.

This comparison comes from a peptide manufacturer that is neither of these companies, which is the only reason it’s worth your time, since there’s no order for me to win. What I’ve done is read both sites the way I’d read them for my own sourcing: note the verbs, note the panel, note whether a certificate exists you can open before paying, and record gaps as gaps rather than accusations. All observations date from pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

Which questions separate a documented supplier from an undocumented one?

Write the criteria down before you open either site. Five questions, each answerable only from something the supplier has actually published.

Provenance comes first because it shapes what the other four can mean. Does the company synthesise the peptide in a facility it operates, or does it stock finished material and sell it under its own brand? Read the verbs. “We synthesise” and “our team produces” describe manufacturing. “We supply” and “we offer” describe distribution, which is a legitimate business that answers a different set of questions when something goes wrong with a lot.

Second, is the testing laboratory named? “Third-party tested” is a phrase anybody can type. A name is an organisation you can look up, whose accreditation you can confirm, and whose report format you can compare against the file a vendor hands you.

Third, panel scope. HPLC purity measures how much of the material is one compound. Mass spectrometry confirms that compound matches the label. Bacterial endotoxin and sterility describe contamination that purity will never reveal, and for lyophilised material destined for cell work, those last two are the results people forget to ask for.

Fourth, timing and traceability. Is there a lot-specific certificate you can open before paying, and does its lot number appear on the vial that arrives? A certificate that covers a product line rather than a batch can’t tell you about your batch.

Fifth, blends. When a vial holds more than one peptide, are the milligrams of each stated on the page? A total figure leaves the ratio unknown, and an unknown ratio is a reagent nobody can reproduce.

Company age and domain age stay off the list. Both are easy to look up and neither tells you anything about the material.

What Biotech Peptides and Swiss Chems publicly state

Start with Biotech Peptides. On provenance, the homepage states that “peptides are domestically synthesized, backed by our knowledgeable US-based team,” the about page states that its team “specializes in the precise synthesis and lyophilization of these delicate structures,” and product pages carry “Synthesized and Lyophilized in the USA.” No facility, city or state was named on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

On testing, the homepage states that “our production is verified by HPLC-MS to confirm >99% purity” and that “every batch is verified by a third-party lab, with results posted on our website.” No laboratory is named in that prose, though the certificate linked from the 70mg BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu blend page, lot 3141011, is issued by MZ Biolabs and reports HPLC-UV purity of 99.56% with mass spectrometry identity confirmation. Endotoxin and sterility were not listed on that certificate or on any page reviewed 2026-09-08. Certificate files are linked on product pages before purchase, including separate documents for the 5mg and 10mg BPC-157 vials dated 2026-07-21, and the 70mg blend page states a total without per-component milligrams. On provenance, the “Who we are” page gives “Est. 2018,” a USA base, the heading “Research Supply,” and states the company “has supplied one of the largest research-compound catalogs.” The verbs across those pages are consistently about supplying and offering. A statement of who synthesises the material, or a description of an owned production facility, was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. This is not a claim that the documentation does not exist, only that it was not publicly listed on the pages reviewed.

On testing, Swiss Chems states that “all products are tested by independent, ISO-accredited laboratories” and that “every compound we supply undergoes independent third-party HPLC testing and is verified to a purity standard of 99% or higher.” The FAQ states that “batches are submitted for independent analysis by accredited third-party laboratories,” gives the name of the laboratory the company principally uses, and states that “testing uses established laboratory methods, most commonly High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), with additional methods where a compound requires them,” adding that “lab reports are made available so you can verify the material you received. Reports are lot-specific.” The Independent Test Results page states “we believe in complete transparency. View and download all lab reports” and carried roughly fifty PDF reports whose filenames indicate the test type and the issuing lab.

Product-level disclosure is where Swiss Chems reads well. The BPC-157 and TB-500 blend page states per-component amounts of “5mg + 5mg” and “10mg + 10mg,” states “99% Purity Guaranteed,” and shows View Report links for HPLC, LC-MS, heavy metals and endotoxin tests dated June 2026. A sterility result and a lot number were not listed on that page. Both deserve a concession. Biotech Peptides answers the provenance question in an active sentence, which Swiss Chems does not, and it links a lot-numbered certificate on the product page itself. Swiss Chems names a laboratory in its own FAQ, publishes a downloadable public archive rather than one file per product, and discloses the milligram split on its blend, which is three rubric rows won on the page rather than in the marketing copy. Its catalogue also spans compound classes a peptide-only vendor doesn’t carry, and if one checkout for peptides and SARMs matters to your work, that difference is real.

Reading the two columns together, they agree on more than the branding suggests: 99% or better by HPLC, research-use labelling, and testing documents you can open without an account. They separate on two rows. Biotech Peptides claims manufacture and Swiss Chems claims supply, which is the difference between tracing a bad lot internally and asking an upstream party about it. Swiss Chems publishes a wider set of results per report and states the blend split, while Biotech Peptides ties its certificate to a lot number on the product page. Neither published sterility.

How to verify either supplier yourself

  • Ask each company in writing which laboratory ran the most recent batch of the compound you want, and ask for that batch’s report by number rather than by product name.
  • Open a report before ordering and read the header rather than the purity figure. You want the issuing lab, the lot or batch number, the date, and a line for each method run.
  • Count the results: identity by MS, purity by HPLC, bacterial endotoxin, sterility. Fewer than four means the panel is partial regardless of what the site copy says.
  • Check the number on the document against the number printed on the vial when it arrives, and file both together, because a report you can’t tie to a vial won’t help you six months later.
