Most people arrive at a comparison like this one already tired. You’ve read four homepages, they all say made in the USA and third-party tested and 99% purity, and none of that narrows anything down because none of it is checkable from inside the sentence. The adjectives cost nothing to write, and anyone can type them.
Paperwork costs something. A named laboratory, a dated certificate carrying a lot number, a stated assay list, a milligram split on a blend label. Those either exist on the site or they don’t, and either way you can see which. So I set five questions before opening either storefront, put both Peptide Vault and Certified-Pep through the identical five, and recorded what each publishes rather than what each claims in the abstract. I have no relationship with either company.
Two clarifications before the detail. “Peptide Vault” is a name several unrelated storefronts share, including UK and Australian ones, so the site reviewed here is peptidevaultlabs.com, trading as Peptide Vault Labs. Certified-Pep trades at certified-pep.com and also appears in its own copy as Certified Peptides. Everything below describes what each site publicly stated on the pages I could reach on 2026-09-08.

What should you actually check before you buy?
Here’s the rubric, fixed in advance so you can argue with the scoring rather than just the score.
Provenance is question one. Does the vendor synthesize the peptide or receive finished material and resell it? Read the verbs literally. “We synthesize” and “our laboratory produces” describe manufacturing, while “we supply” and “manufactured in a facility” describe an arrangement without saying whose facility it is. Distribution isn’t disqualifying and lots of careful companies distribute. The point is knowing who holds the chain of custody, since that’s the party who can answer a hard question about a particular lot later.
Question two, is the testing laboratory named? Third-party tested is the most repeated phrase in this market and among the least useful, because you can’t follow it anywhere. A name gives you somewhere to go. An accreditation standard cited without a lab attached is a claim about a claim, and worth noticing as such.
Question three, how wide is the panel? HPLC purity tells you the proportion of one dominant compound, and mass spectrometry confirms that compound is the one named on the label. Bacterial endotoxin and sterility cover contamination a purity figure can’t detect, so four results describe a lot while one result describes one property of it.
Question four, can you open a lot-specific certificate before paying? A batch number in a table is an index entry. A dated document carrying that number and an issuing laboratory’s name is evidence. Sites often present the first and let you assume the second, so check which you’re being shown.
Question five, on blends, are per-component milligrams published? A 70mg three-peptide vial can be split many ways, and until the split is stated you can’t work out a concentration for any single component in it.
Company age and domain age stay out of the scoring entirely, because neither tells you anything about the material in the vial.
The standard this comparison uses
Since you should be able to trace a yardstick back to somebody, here’s where this one comes from: it’s the standard Blank Peptides publishes its own lots against, in the form of the per-lot batch certificates of analysis it posts publicly. Blank Peptides is not one of the two companies compared in this article and isn’t scored on any row below. Naming the source lets you confirm the bar is a published commitment somebody has to meet on every batch, rather than five criteria reverse-engineered to produce a preferred winner.
What Peptide Vault and Certified-Pep publicly state
Peptide Vault Labs presents as a US supplier. On the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, the homepage states products are “Made in the USA” and “Produced in a controlled U.S. facility under strict laboratory standards”, and the about page states the company “supplies research-grade peptides and laboratory materials to researchers, institutions, and analytical labs”. The verb that recurs is “supplies”. Whether that facility belongs to the company, and whether the company synthesizes anything itself, was not listed on the pages reviewed. On testing, the site states “Third-party batch tested” and refers to “independent laboratory testing”, and the COA library header states that “Every batch is third-party tested for identity, purity, and quantity by HPLC and mass spectrometry”, with a “≥99% Purity Standard” repeated across the site. No laboratory name appeared on the homepage, about page, FAQ, COA library or product pages I reached.
The library itself showed 22 batch rows across 14 products on the date reviewed, with PVL-prefixed batch numbers such as PVL-9002345-P, purity figures between roughly 99.08% and 99.62%, a weight column, and an endotoxin column reading “None”, with sterility absent from the listed parameters. No downloadable certificate sat behind any row, and a notice at the foot of the page described those batch numbers and results as “illustrative placeholders” to be replaced “with real Certificate of Analysis data and downloadable PDFs before launch”. That notice is unusually direct, and I’d count telling buyers the table isn’t live yet as a point in the company’s favour rather than against it. On blends, the site lists KLOW at 80 mg, GLOW (shown as 80 mg on the shop grid and 70 mg on its product page), CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin at 10 mg, and BPC-157 with TB-500 at 10 mg, naming components without per-component milligrams.
Certified-Pep goes further than most storefronts on one specific axis. Where Certified-Pep falls short is access. The Texas facility isn’t named, and whether mass spectrometry identity runs on every batch, as opposed to being described as a general peptide verification method, was not listed. Blends appear in the shop as names and totals such as “K-COPPER 70MG” and “MITO BLEND 120MG”, with a per-component split shown on some items like “GLP3-R / CAGRI 12.5/2.5 MG” and absent on others. Each side has something real. Peptide Vault publishes open pricing with tiered pack discounts of 5% on five vials and 10% on ten, advertises “Same-Day Fulfillment”, carries four blends, and states mass spectrometry identity on every batch, which Certified-Pep’s testing page does not commit to per lot. Certified-Pep does the single hardest thing on this rubric, naming its laboratory and its accreditation in plain site copy so you can look both up independently, and it states a four-part panel with USP method references plus cold storage in “-20 °C lab-grade freezers”.

- Read the method lines on any certificate instead of the headline figure, checking for HPLC purity, mass spectrometry identity, and separate endotoxin and sterility results, and ask whether any missing assay ran on your lot.
- Note the lot number before ordering and match it against the number printed on the arriving vial, since an unlabelled vial removes your ability to tie anything back to paperwork.
