Which five checks separate documentation from adjectives?
Here’s the rubric, written down before either company appears, so you can grade the grading instead of taking it on trust.
Provenance comes first. Does the vendor make the peptide or take delivery of finished material and sell it on? You get at that by reading the verbs on the about page exactly as written. “We synthesize” describes manufacturing, while “we supply” and “produced in a facility” describe an arrangement without saying whose facility or whose hands. Neither model disqualifies anyone, and plenty of careful companies distribute rather than manufacture. What you want to establish is who holds the chain of custody, because that determines who can answer a hard question about a specific lot six months from now.
Second, is the testing laboratory named? Third-party tested is the most common sentence in this market and close to the least useful, since you can’t follow it anywhere. A laboratory name is something you can pick up the phone about. An accreditation number with no lab attached is a claim about a claim.
Third, how wide is the panel? Purity by HPLC gives you the proportion of one dominant compound in the vial, and mass spectrometry confirms that compound is the one on the label. Bacterial endotoxin and sterility describe contamination that a purity figure cannot see. Four results describe a lot with reasonable completeness, and one result describes one property of it.
Fourth, can you open a lot-specific certificate before paying? A batch number sitting in a table is an index entry, while a dated document carrying that number and a named issuing laboratory is the evidence. Those are different tiers and it pays to notice which one a site is offering.
Fifth, on blends, are per-component milligrams published? An 80mg four-peptide vial can be divided many different ways, and until the split is stated you can’t calculate a concentration for anything in it.
Company age and domain age stay out of the scoring, since neither says anything about the material.
The standard this comparison uses
Worth saying where the rubric comes from, since you should be able to trace a yardstick. Naming the source just lets you confirm the bar is a published commitment somebody has to meet on every batch, rather than five criteria assembled after the fact to reach a chosen answer.
What Peptide Vault and Amino Club publicly state
Peptide Vault Labs presents as a US supplier. On the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, the homepage states products are “Made in the USA” and “Produced in a controlled U.S. facility under strict laboratory standards”, while the about page states the company “supplies research-grade peptides and laboratory materials to researchers, institutions, and analytical labs”. The recurring verb across that copy is “supplies”. Whether the facility is the company’s own, and whether the company synthesizes anything itself, was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. On testing, the site states “Third-party batch tested” and refers to “independent laboratory testing” and “independent analytical documentation”, and the COA library header states that “Every batch is third-party tested for identity, purity, and quantity by HPLC and mass spectrometry”, with a “≥99% Purity Standard” repeated throughout. No laboratory was named on the homepage, about page, FAQ, COA library or product pages I reached.
That COA library is worth looking at closely, because its structure and its contents tell slightly different stories. On the date reviewed it showed 22 batch rows across 14 products, with batch numbers in a PVL-prefixed format such as PVL-9002345-P, purity figures running roughly 99.08% to 99.62%, a weight column, and an endotoxin column reading “None”, with sterility absent from the listed parameters. No downloadable certificate sat behind any row, and a notice at the foot of the page described the batch numbers and results as “illustrative placeholders” to be replaced “with real Certificate of Analysis data and downloadable PDFs before launch”. I’d read that notice as the company telling you plainly that the table isn’t live data yet, which is more candour than a placeholder table usually arrives with. On blends, the site lists KLOW at 80 mg, GLOW (shown as 80 mg on the shop grid and 70 mg on its product page), CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin at 10 mg, and BPC-157 with TB-500 at 10 mg. - Click a COA table row through to the document behind it. A row carrying a batch number and a purity figure is an index entry, and a dated certificate is the evidence, so confirm that one leads to the other before treating the table as proof of anything.
- Look for the issuing laboratory’s name printed on the document itself, then contact that lab through a number you found independently and ask them to confirm the report exists.
- Write down the lot number before you order and match it against the number printed on the vial when it arrives, and ask for the matching document whenever a vendor couldn’t give you a lot number in advance.
- On blends, ask for milligrams per component in writing before ordering, and check that any total shown on a shop grid agrees with the total on the product page, because those two figures can quietly disagree.
