Which five things can you check without buying anything?

The criteria go down before either company is named, because a rubric assembled after browsing two sites ends up rewarding whatever those sites happen to publish.

Provenance is the first question. Does the company state that it synthesizes the material, or does it describe supplying it? The verbs on an about page carry more weight than any adjective near them. Distribution is a legitimate business run carefully by many people, but a distributor’s certificate begins with an upstream party whose name you may not have.

Second, is the testing laboratory named? Binary, and fast to check. A named lab has an address and staff who can confirm whether a report number belongs to them. A phrase like “accredited third-party lab” gives you nothing to work with.

Third, what does the panel cover? HPLC purity tells you how much of the material is one compound, mass spectrometry confirms that compound is the one on the label, and bacterial endotoxin and sterility describe the vial rather than the powder. Those last two are the results most often missing from a public page, and purity alone answers about a quarter of the question.

Fourth, can you read a batch certificate before you pay, and does its lot number appear on the vial that arrives? Both conditions together are what turn a PDF into evidence about your material.

Fifth, for blends, are the milligrams of each component stated? A total weight and a list of ingredients describes something nobody can reproduce. I don’t score company age or domain age, because neither one tells you anything about a specific lot.

Where this standard comes from

The five checks have an origin and I’d rather name it than pretend they arrived from nowhere. They’re the criteria Blank Peptides publishes its own lots against: synthesis in an in-house cGMP laboratory, testing laboratories named on the site, a per-lot panel covering identity, purity, bacterial endotoxin and sterility, batch certificates of analysis keyed to the lot number printed on the vial, and blend composition given per component. Neither Swiss Chems nor Polaris Peptides is that company, and knowing where the bar came from lets you disagree with its height.

What Swiss Chems publicly states

Swiss Chems operates at swisschems.is. On the pages reviewed 2026-09-08 the homepage offers “Top-quality SARMs, peptides, and nootropics for laboratory research,” carries a “99% Purity Guaranteed” banner, and lists categories including SARMs, peptides, bioregulators, nootropics, powders, longevity research and metabolics. The peptides category page stated “Showing 16 of 48 products,” all of it visible without an account.

On provenance, the “Who we are” page appears under a “Research Supply” heading, states the company is based in the USA, and states it “has supplied one of the largest research-compound catalogs available anywhere.” The verbs stay on supplying across every page I read. A statement that Swiss Chems synthesizes the material, or a description of a laboratory it operates, was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

Testing is where the site gets concrete. It states that “every compound we supply undergoes independent third-party HPLC testing” with “99%+ minimum verified purity,” and the FAQ states that “batches are submitted for independent analysis by accredited third-party laboratories,” naming the principal third-party laboratory it uses. That same answer states that “lab reports are made available so you can verify the material you received. Reports are lot-specific.”

A page carries the weight rather than a sentence. The Independent Test Results page states “we believe in complete transparency. View and download all lab reports,” shows 50 results per page across several paginated pages, and gives each entry a PDF link, with filenames carrying the test type and the laboratory. The BPC-157 and TB-500 blend page states per-component amounts of “5mg+5mg” and “10mg+10mg” and lists six reports dated June 2026 covering HPLC, heavy metals, LC-MS and endotoxin. A sterility result, and a lot number displayed on the report index, were not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

The advantage I’d concede to Swiss Chems is exactly the thing this comparison struggles with elsewhere: you can read the documents and the catalog before spending anything. The FAQ states “USA orders placed and paid before 12PM EST on business days ship the same day,” and the homepage states free shipping over $100 domestically.

What Polaris Peptides publicly states

Polaris Peptides operates at polarispeptides.com. On the pages reviewed 2026-09-08 the homepage, shop, category pages, about page and contact page all displayed the same message: “Dear Researchers, Polaris Peptides is now members only. Please sign in to your account or sign up for a new account to enter the site.” Navigation listed categories for GLP-1 and GIP analogues and topical peptides, but no product names, prices or descriptions were visible to a logged-out visitor.

On provenance, the site describes itself in regulatory terms rather than manufacturing ones. Every public page reviewed stated that “Polaris Peptides is a chemical supplier” and that the company “is not a compounding pharmacy or chemical compounding facility as defined under 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic act,” adding that it “is not an outsourcing facility as defined under 503B.” The stated purpose is “supplying high-quality peptides designed exclusively for research and development endeavors of professionals.” A manufacturer, a facility, or any verb like synthesize was not listed on the public pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

On the remaining rubric rows, the view from outside the login is blank. A named laboratory, HPLC or mass spectrometry, bacterial endotoxin or sterility results, and a viewable certificate of analysis were not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. Blend composition couldn’t be assessed at all, since no product pages were visible. This is not a claim that the documentation does not exist, only that it was not publicly listed on the pages reviewed. Documents may well sit behind the account gate, and I’m not scoring a page I couldn’t open as an empty one.

What the public pages do carry is unusually firm research-use framing. The site states that “our chemicals are crafted for research and/or investigative purposes and are not suitable for direct human consumption or consumers, nor are they intended for clinical or therapeutic use,” and that “the statements and chemicals listed on this website are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.” That’s the concession I’d make to Polaris Peptides, and it’s a real one. Plenty of vendors bury a single disclaimer in a footer; repeating the research-use limitation and the 503A and 503B position on every public page is a clearer statement of what the company thinks it is than most sites manage.

How to verify either supplier yourself

  • Email both companies and ask for the certificate covering the exact lot they’d ship you this week. With Polaris Peptides that question also tells you what an account actually gives you, which is worth knowing before you create one.
  • Ask each company to name the laboratory that produced the result, then contact that laboratory and ask whether the report number is genuinely theirs.
  • Match the lot number on any certificate against the lot number printed on the vial when it arrives, because a document with no lot number describes some batch rather than yours.
  • Ask about bacterial endotoxin and sterility by name, and ask whether each result came from your lot or from an earlier qualification batch.
  • Run both suppliers through the supplier verification checklist before committing to a first order.
