If you’ve had both of these sites open at once you already know the problem: they read as interchangeable until you go looking for the actual documents, and then they stop being interchangeable in ways that are easy to miss on a quick pass.

What follows applies five questions to Swiss Chems and Umbrella Labs, in the same order, using only what each site publishes about itself. There’s no winner announced at the end. I haven’t tested either company’s material, and both publish enough that a single verdict would flatten some genuinely interesting differences.

I write for a peptide manufacturer and I’ll name the source of the standard I’m applying so you can weigh it accordingly, though neither company here is that manufacturer. Everything below was publicly readable on the pages I reviewed on 2026-09-08.

Which five checks hold up across any two vendors?

Fixing the criteria before naming either company matters, because a rubric assembled after browsing two sites ends up grading on whatever those sites happen to be good at.

Provenance is first. Does the company state that it synthesizes the material, or does it describe supplying, bottling, or packaging it? The verbs on an about page do more work than the adjectives around them. Distribution is a legitimate business and careful distributors exist, but a distributor’s certificate begins with an upstream party whose name you may not have.

Second, is the testing laboratory named? Binary, and it takes seconds. A named lab has an address and staff who will confirm whether a report number is theirs. A phrase like “third-party validated” gives you nothing to act on.

Third, what does the panel cover? HPLC purity measures how much of the material is a single compound, mass spectrometry confirms that compound matches the label, and bacterial endotoxin and sterility describe the vial rather than the powder. Those last two are the ones most often absent, and a supplier publishing purity alone has answered about a quarter of the question.

Fourth, can you read a batch certificate before you pay, and does its lot number also appear on the vial you receive? Those two conditions together turn a PDF into evidence about your material rather than a sample of the company’s testing habits.

Fifth, for blends, are the milligrams of each component stated? A total weight and an ingredient list describe something nobody can reproduce. Company age and domain age stay out of this rubric entirely, because neither tells you anything about a specific lot.

Where this standard comes from

The five checks have a source, so I’ll name it. They’re the criteria Blank Peptides publishes its own lots against: synthesis in an in-house cGMP laboratory, testing laboratories named on the site, a per-lot panel covering identity, purity, bacterial endotoxin and sterility, batch certificates of analysis keyed to the lot number printed on the vial, and blend composition given per component. Neither Swiss Chems nor Umbrella Labs is that company, and knowing where the bar came from lets you disagree with its height.

What Swiss Chems publicly states

Swiss Chems operates at swisschems.is. On the pages reviewed 2026-09-08 the homepage offers “Top-quality SARMs, peptides, and nootropics for laboratory research,” carries a “99% Purity Guaranteed” banner, and lists categories including SARMs, peptides, bioregulators, nootropics, powders, longevity research and metabolics. The peptides category page stated “Showing 16 of 48 products.”

On provenance, the “Who we are” page runs under a “Research Supply” heading, states the company is based in the USA, and states that it “has supplied one of the largest research-compound catalogs available anywhere.” Every page I read kept the verbs on supplying. A statement that Swiss Chems synthesizes the material, or a description of a laboratory it operates, was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

Testing is where the site becomes specific. It states that “every compound we supply undergoes independent third-party HPLC testing” with “99%+ minimum verified purity,” and the FAQ states that “batches are submitted for independent analysis by accredited third-party laboratories,” naming the principal third-party laboratory it uses. The same answer states that “lab reports are made available so you can verify the material you received. Reports are lot-specific.”

A page backs that up rather than leaving it as a sentence. The Independent Test Results page states “we believe in complete transparency. View and download all lab reports,” shows 50 results per page across several paginated pages, and gives each entry a PDF link, with filenames carrying the test type and the laboratory. The BPC-157 and TB-500 blend page states per-component amounts of “5mg+5mg” and “10mg+10mg” and lists six reports dated June 2026 covering HPLC, heavy metals, LC-MS and endotoxin. A sterility result, and a lot number visible on the report index, were not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08.

The advantage I’d give Swiss Chems without hesitating is open access to the documents plus catalog spread. Reports download without an account, and the range covers compound classes a peptide-only house doesn’t stock. The FAQ states that “USA orders placed and paid before 12PM EST on business days ship the same day,” and the homepage states free shipping over $100 domestically and $300 internationally.

What Umbrella Labs publicly states

Umbrella Labs operates at umbrellalabs.is, which resolved normally on 2026-09-08. The homepage states “USA MADE” and “≥99% PURITY,” advertises free shipping, and lists SARMs, peptides, nootropics, research chemicals, lab supplies and amino acids among its categories.

On provenance, “USA MADE” is about as far as the language goes. A facility, an in-house synthesis process, or a named manufacturing partner was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, and the FAQ doesn’t address who makes the material. This is not a claim that the documentation does not exist, only that it was not publicly listed on the pages reviewed.

On testing, the quality-assurance page describes instrumentation in more detail than most sites bother with. It states that “routine analyses are conducted in a CLIA environment using a flexible range of Thermo Scientific and Agilent modalities,” listing a 3D trap LC-MS, a triple quadrupole GC-MS and a linear ion trap LC-MS. The same page states that Umbrella Labs is “the only supplier of SARMs with third-party purity validation from analytical chemists credentialed by the National Certification Commission in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (NCCCCE).” No laboratory was named on that page itself.

The certificates page is where names appear. The peptide certificates section lists a long run of compounds, each with a current document and a table of older certificates carrying test dates from 2020 through 2026, and those tables credit named laboratories including MZ BioLabs and Vanguard Laboratory alongside downloadable PDFs. On the BPC-157 vial page the specification reads “≥99% Pure (LC-MS),” with linked certificates dated 2026-06-15 for the 5mg vial and 2025-12-22 for the 10mg, plus a separate endotoxin certificate dated 2026-02-04. That endotoxin document carries a lot number, which puts Umbrella Labs ahead of most of this market on the row that usually goes blank. A sterility result was not listed on the pages or documents reviewed 2026-09-08.

Blends are disclosed in the product titles themselves, which I’d call the cleanest way to do it. Listings include “BPC-157/TB-500 BLEND PEPTIDE (5MG/5MG) 10MG TOTAL VIAL” and “GHK-CU/TB-500/BPC-157/KPV BLEND PEPTIDE (50MG/10MG/10MG/10MG) 80MG VIAL,” with subcategories for peptide vials, vial blends, liquid sprays, capsules, tablets, GLPs and reconstitution solutions. That combination of archive depth, per-certificate lab attribution and titles that state the split is the advantage I’d concede to Umbrella Labs without argument.

How to verify either supplier yourself

  • Email both companies and ask for the certificate covering the exact lot they’d ship you this week, then compare it against whatever is already published for that product.
  • Umbrella Labs credits laboratories inside its certificate tables, so contact the named lab and ask whether the report number is genuinely theirs. Ask Swiss Chems for the same confirmation route on its principal laboratory.
  • Match the lot number on any certificate against the lot number printed on the vial when it arrives. A document with no lot number describes some batch, and you have no way of knowing whether it’s yours.
  • Ask both about bacterial endotoxin and sterility by name, and ask whether each result came from your lot or from an earlier qualification batch.
  • Run both suppliers through the supplier verification checklist before committing to a first order.
