A site tells you every lot is tested and archived against a lot number, which sounds exactly right, and then you go looking for the archive and what comes back doesn’t quite match the promise. Not because anyone’s hiding something necessarily, but because a published intention and a working document library are two different things and the copy doesn’t distinguish them.

That’s why comparing purity banners is a waste of an evening. What separates two companies is narrower and more checkable: who ran the synthesis, which laboratory signed the report, which assays were on the panel, whether a certificate opens before you pay, and whether a blend states milligrams per component.

My position, so you can weigh what follows. I write for a peptide manufacturer, neither Peptide Vault nor Northline Labs is that manufacturer, and there’s nothing here for you to buy from me. Everything below was publicly readable on the pages I reviewed on 2026-09-08.

What can you check before you pay?

Here’s the rubric, fixed before either name appears so it can’t be reshaped to suit whichever site read more convincingly.

Provenance comes first. Does the company state that it synthesizes the peptide, or does it describe supplying, producing, stocking, or making it available? Both describe real businesses, and a diligent supplier can beat a careless manufacturer on any given lot. But they hold different records. When material behaves strangely six months on, only the company that ran the synthesis can pull the file and tell you what happened.

Second, is the laboratory named? I put this above the purity figure itself. A named laboratory is something you can look up independently, phone, and ask whether a particular report number is genuinely theirs.

Third, how wide is the panel? These are four separate results answering four different questions. HPLC purity measures what fraction of the material is one compound. Mass spectrometry confirms which compound it is. Bacterial endotoxin and sterility describe the finished vial rather than the powder, and that pair is what matters for anything cell-based. One of four is the norm here.

Fourth, can you read a batch certificate before you pay, and does its lot identifier appear on the vial you receive? Those conditions together are what turn a document into evidence about your material rather than a representative sample of the company’s testing programme. And there’s a version of this row worth watching for, where a company describes the right architecture without the library behind it being populated yet. The description and the working archive are separate things to check.

Fifth, on blends, are the milligrams stated per component? The same blend name at two vendors can hide two different ratios, and without the split you can’t calculate a working concentration. Company age and domain age stay off this list, because neither one describes a lot.

The standard used in this comparison

I’d rather name the origin of the yardstick than pretend it came from nowhere. These five checks are the ones Blank Peptides publishes its own lots against: in-house cGMP synthesis, named testing laboratories, a per-lot panel covering identity, purity, bacterial endotoxin and sterility, batch certificates of analysis keyed to the lot number printed on every vial, and blend composition disclosed per component. Neither company below is that one, which is worth knowing before you read the rows.

What Peptide Vault publicly states

A clarification first, because search results muddle this one. Peptidevault.com resolved to a domain-for-sale page on 2026-09-08, and the site reviewed here is peptidevaultlabs.com, trading as Peptide Vault Labs.

On provenance, the homepage states products are “Made in the USA” and “Produced in a controlled U.S. facility under strict laboratory standards,” while the about page states the company “supplies research-grade peptides and laboratory materials to researchers, institutions, and analytical labs.” The recurring verb is “supplies.” Whether the company owns the facility described, or performs the synthesis inside it, was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. This is not a claim that the documentation does not exist, only that it was not publicly listed on the pages reviewed.

On testing, the site states “Third-Party Batch Tested” and refers to “independent analytical documentation.” The COA library header states that “Every batch is third-party tested for identity, purity, and quantity by HPLC and mass spectrometry,” and a “≥99% Purity Standard” appears across the site. No laboratory was named on any page I reviewed on 2026-09-08.

The batch index is the strongest thing on the site and the concession I’ll make plainly. It states: “Search published analytical records by product or batch number,” and rows carry batch identifiers in a PVL-prefixed format, purity figures running from roughly 99.08% to 99.62%, and an endotoxin column reading “None.” The part that matters most in this particular comparison is that the index was populated and readable on the review date, with real batch identifiers and real numbers visible in the default view. Sterility was not among the listed parameters, and I couldn’t find a downloadable certificate document behind any individual row, which is the gap between a published result and a laboratory’s signed report.

On blends, the site lists four: KLOW at 80 mg, GLOW, CJC-1295 with Ipamorelin at 10 mg, and BPC-157 with TB-500 at 10 mg. The KLOW page states it is “formulated with BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, and KPV,” and the GLOW page names BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu. Milligrams per component were not listed, and the GLOW total appeared as 80 mg on the shop grid against 70 mg on its own product page. The site advertises “Same-Day Fulfillment,” and the footer states products are “not intended for human or veterinary use.”

What Northline Labs publicly states

Northline Labs trades at northlinelabs.org, and its documentation is built almost entirely around the lot concept, which is the right instinct even where the execution left questions open on the review date.

On provenance, a statement about who synthesizes the peptides was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. The site describes itself as a chemical supplier, and no physical location was published. The company doesn’t describe an operated facility and doesn’t describe manufacturing partners either, so this row sits unanswered in both directions, which is a slightly wider gap than Peptide Vault leaves by at least naming a country and a facility type.

On testing, the about page states that “every lot we sell is independently assayed for purity by reverse-phase HPLC and confirmed for identity by mass spectrometry,” and that “testing is done by an independent laboratory, the certificate is archived against a unique lot ID.” The homepage states “HPLC + mass-spec verified on every batch before it’s listed” and repeats a “99%+ purity” standard, phrased elsewhere as “99%+ documented purity.” Naming reverse-phase HPLC as the purity method and mass spectrometry as the identity method is more specific than most sites in this market bother with, and that specificity is the concession I’ll give Northline Labs without qualification. Splitting the two assays by the question each one answers suggests somebody there understands what the panel is for, rather than treating both as interchangeable proof of quality. The laboratory’s name was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08, and bacterial endotoxin and sterility results were not listed.

On certificate access, the site publishes a certificate archive on its own domain and states each certificate is a “lot-traceable certificate, matched to your vial and saved to your account,” with an invitation to “look up a COA.” On the review date the archive returned “No certificates match your search” with nothing visible in the default view, which may reflect a lookup expecting a lot number as input rather than an empty library. The practical test either way is entering a real lot number, or asking the company for the certificate matching a compound you intend to order.

On catalog and logistics, the site states “48 compounds,” same-day dispatch on in-stock orders, “FedEx 2-3 Day Shipping” and “Free Shipping Orders $250+.” Blend composition per component was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. Research-use wording is clear and repeated, with products stated to be “intended for laboratory research use only (RUO)” and “not for human or animal consumption of any kind.”

How to verify either supplier yourself

  • Ask Northline Labs for a live lot number and then search its archive with that input yourself. A lookup that returns nothing on a real lot number tells you something no marketing page can, and one that returns a certificate settles the row entirely.
  • Ask Peptide Vault for the signed laboratory report behind a batch index row rather than the row itself. A published figure and a laboratory’s own document are different objects, and only the second names an issuer you can contact.
  • Ask both companies in writing which laboratory performed the testing, then look that laboratory up through your own search rather than through a link either company gives you, and ask staff to confirm the report number.
  • Ask both who performs the synthesis and where. Neither site answers it, and Northline Labs publishes no location at all, so how each company handles that question in writing is worth reading closely.
  • Score both against the supplier verification checklist so the same rows get filled in for each company rather than whichever rows each site makes easy.
