What should a replacement supplier be able to show you?

Here’s the thing about switching vendors: the moment you leave one, you lose whatever informal trust you’d built up. You knew their packaging, you knew their turnaround, you had a feel for the product. With a new supplier you have none of that, which is actually a good thing, because it forces you to look at the paperwork instead of the vibe. And the paperwork is where the real differences live.

I use five questions, always in the same order, and I’d suggest you do the same.

The third is scope. Purity by HPLC tells you what fraction of the peaks belong to the main compound. It doesn’t confirm that the main compound is the one on the label, and it says nothing about endotoxin or sterility. A full panel means identity, purity, endotoxin and sterility, and for lyophilised peptides intended for in-vitro work, that last pair matters more than most people realise.

The fourth is whether you can see a batch certificate before you buy, tied to a lot number you’ll find on the vial. A report with no lot number is a report about something, but not necessarily about your something.

The fifth is blend composition. If a product combines two or three peptides, are the milligrams per component stated? A “10mg blend” that doesn’t say how much of each is in there isn’t something you can design an experiment around.

Each lot goes to two named outside laboratories, Freedom Diagnostics and Horizon Analytical, for a full panel: identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC at >99%, bacterial endotoxin, and sterility. The results for every lot are published as batch certificates of analysis, and the lot number printed on each vial is the same one that appears on the certificate, so a buyer can match the two without asking anyone.

The catalog is deliberately narrow at 34 compounds. Blends are disclosed per component: GLOW is 70mg total of GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500; KLOW is 80mg and adds KPV; Wolverine is 20mg of BPC-157 and TB-500. Lyophilised vials carry an expiration of roughly 24 months. Orders are processed within one business day and ship at room temperature, which is the standard handling for lyophilised peptide. That breadth is a genuine advantage over a narrower catalog like ours: if you need a SARM, a nootropic and a peptide from a single order, Swiss Chems states it can do that and we can’t.

On provenance, the “Who we are” page describes the company as “Est. 2018”, based in the USA, under the heading “Research Supply”, and says that “for over eight years, SwissChems has supplied one of the largest research-compound catalogs”. The verbs throughout are supply and offer. A statement of who synthesises the material, or any description of an owned laboratory or manufacturing facility, was not listed on the pages reviewed 2026-09-08. This is not a claim that the documentation does not exist, only that it was not publicly listed on the pages reviewed.

On testing, Swiss Chems is more forthcoming than many vendors. The site states that “all products are tested by independent, ISO-accredited laboratories” and that “every compound we supply undergoes independent third-party HPLC testing and is verified to a purity standard of 99% or higher”. The FAQ states that “batches are submitted for independent analysis by accredited third-party laboratories”, and it names the laboratory it principally uses, so a buyer has a name to look up. The FAQ also states that “testing uses established laboratory methods, most commonly High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), with additional methods where a compound requires them”, and that “lab reports are made available so you can verify the material you received. Reports are lot-specific.”

The Independent Test Results page states “we believe in complete transparency. View and download all lab reports”, and shows roughly fifty downloadable PDFs whose filenames indicate HPLC testing and the lab used. How to verify either supplier yourself

  • Open a product page and look for the lot number, then find the certificate for that exact lot. If the report you find has no lot number, or the number doesn’t match the vial you’d receive, treat it as a general claim rather than a batch record.
  • Search the site for the word “manufacture” or “synthesise”. If every sentence about origin uses supply, source or offer instead, the site is telling you something about provenance, and you should ask the vendor directly who makes the material.
  • Take the lab name from the certificate and contact that lab, not the vendor, to ask whether it issued the report. A legitimate lab will confirm or deny a report number without much fuss.
  • Read the certificate for four separate results: identity, purity, endotoxin and sterility. A purity chromatogram alone leaves three of those open.
